Standard cross-section

A cable route in cross-section.

This is what a cable route looks like cut open: surface, base course, backfill, sand bed – with duct bundle and cable inside. Our crews build every one of these layers themselves.

  1. 01 · Civil works

    The trench

Breaking up, excavation, shoring. Then backfilled and compacted in layers.

  2. 02 · FTTH · Fibre

    The duct

Microduct bundle in the sand bed, warning tape above. Later we blow in the cable and splice in the street cabinet.

  3. 03 · E-mobility

    The connection

The cable route runs to the charger's foundation. Installation and commissioning of the station follow.

  4. 04 · Surface

    The finish

Paving or asphalt reinstated. In the end, all that remains is a clean seam.

In civil works since 2011.

Kalwer Netzbau was founded in Bergedorf in 2011 as a civil works contractor. Trenches and cable routes grew into fibre house connections, fibre installation and rapid charging parks – the photos in the site diary show the sites of recent years.

We build with our own crews and equipment, for network operators, general contractors, municipalities and charging infrastructure operators in Hamburg and the surrounding area.
